STOP Food Waste Tips

How to Store Bread, keeping it fresh!

From Russel in Wales:

When storing bread, put it in a plastic bag. Suck the air out using a straw and then seal the bag. 1/3 of all bread bought is thrown out so this will keep your bread fresher for longer - Vacuum packing at home!

And an update from Moira: keep your vacuum packed bread in the fridge for even longer freshness....but not next to the onions apparently!

What do you do with the last bit of red wine that might be left over in a bottle? Just as with any stock that you make, you can freeze this as ice cubes for use later. These frozen cubes of goodness are great for cooking and will keep in your freezer for ages.
